GIOCONDA Team is organising the LIFE Networking Seminar “Participation, risk perception, knowledge transfer and exchange in environment and health”, in collaboration with the Office for participation policies of the Tuscany Region, to be held il Florence on April 13th, 2016.
GIOCONDA project invites PERSUADED, MED HISS, AIS, MAPEC e Hia-21, covering the common theme of environment and health, namely the health of communities, connected to different environmental pressures and actors. The specificity of the topic regards a variety of domains: legislation, different in Environment (European law) and Health (devolved to State/Region); the exposure to risks, which are characterized by complexity, uncertainty and ambiguity; the scientific research constantly evolving, often very specific and difficult to generalize, and multidisciplinary; the public perception of environment and health, highly variable and linked to the cultural/political context. Each of these specificities implies issues related to the knowledge transfer and exchange (KTE) among researchers, administrators, citizens, that all LIFE projects face, including open science and citizen science.
Other LIFE projects and LIFE officials, public administration officers, researchers are invited to participate.
